Therefore, the development of cost-effective and easily procurable platinum alternative catalysts is essential for the widespread adoption of fuel cells. Our company synthesizes metal-organic frameworks and porous coordination polymers, based on which we have developed a catalyst that does not use any platinum and possesses performance close to that of platinum-supported carbon catalysts. This catalyst demonstrates high oxygen reduction catalytic activity without the use of platinum, contributing to the reduction of costs for fuel cells and air batteries.
